Situation in Balkovoe

According to church members of the Mennonite church in the village of Balkovoe in Zaporozhye region, the situation on the spot remains tense. The village is occupied by Russian military forces, their heavy vehicles and tanks are continuously patrolling the surroundings, which sows panic among people. Moreover, local highway movement is strictly limited now, and this is why people have to leave the village going roundabout ways. Food supplies are not possible now, but the local church finds ways to provide for its community. Also, a local farmer provided people with help in the form of several bags of flour and fuel for cars. It is reported that there will be enough food for another couple of weeks.
Internet access has become a luxury for many people. Inna, a church member in Balkovoe, said that people sincerely want to support their relatives and friends from other cities in prayer, but many cannot afford mobile operators services and it is not possible to get a connection everywhere. In general, church members in Balkovoe do not despair. They organized a bomb shelter in the church, in which many Christians and non-believers stay for a long time because of the cannonades, which is a great opportunity to share the gospel.
