In September of 2021 we launched the project. The program has proven to be effective. Over the course of 3 months, we were able to give our students good English knowledge and practice their skills by chatting with Canadian teenagers in Zoom. Our Canadian friends are communicative and they motivate us not to be afraid of making mistakes and keep perfecting learned material to communicate with more confidence. At the moment, the teachers help students to translate tricky sentences into English, but hopefully, with the start made, the students will soon be able to express their own thoughts in English. Moreover, interesting Zoom-meetings with peers are a great way to find friends and chat with them outside the club’s walls, which has a positive effect on the learning process.
These results motivate us to carry on and create groups not only for children. In the next term we’re giving an opportunity to be a member of the SpeakUp-club to anyone who feels like it. We’re inviting children, teens and adults. Everyone can and has a right to get the desirable knowledge. Accessibility, the program and the help of Canadian friends are going to help you learn English effectively, put it into practice and feel confident.
We are looking forward to meeting you.
